Beginner Buying Guide
For beginners, 32" to 34" width provides the stability needed to build confidence. Narrower boards require more advanced balance.
Ensure the board uses a drop-stitch core (10,000+ threads/m2) for rigid performance. Cheap boards without drop-stitch feel floppy and are harder to learn on.
Look for boards that include paddle, pump, leash, fin, and backpack. These add $150-$300 in value versus buying separately.
