PVC inflatable boats last 8 — 2 years with proper care. Hypalon boats can last 15 — 0+ years. Key factors: UV exposure, storage conditions (inflated vs deflated), frequency of use, and maintenance. Proper inflation, fresh water rinsing, and avoiding sharp objects extend lifespan significantly.
Can I leave my inflatable boat inflated all season? —
Yes, but with precautions. Inflate to the rated pressure and check weekly as temperature changes affect pressure. UV exposure is the main enemy — use a cover if storing outdoors. Partially deflate and store indoors during extended idle periods for maximum tube life.
What maintenance do inflatable boats need? —
